Work started on Monday 9th November 2020 due to a grant from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund which has meant the restoration work could proceed.
The Annunciation Church is a Grade 2* Listed Building, designed by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, and built in 1905/06. The Church is now in need of some major repair and renovation work; including the stone window frames on the south side, the tower area above the sanctuary including interior plaster work and the interior re-decoration of the Church. After consultation with the Church architect and approved builder a sum of approximately £200,000 / £250,000 is needed to put the Annunciation Church back to its former glory both inside and out.
To raise this large amount of money is going to be a challenge for everyone; and we are asking for your help and on-going support.
We are almost near the total – can you help to reach this milestone?
